Charley Collier, Oral health Therapist
Ever since having orthodontic braces herself as a teenager Charley has wanted to help others in achieving a confident smile and healthy teeth.
Charley graduated from Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga as an Oral health therapist and she is very passionate about promoting oral hygiene and preventing oral disease. Charley has wide-range experience in clinical settings including paediatric dental, orthodontic specialists and general dentistry. She loves coming to work to help our patients have a lifetime of healthy gums, fresh breath and beautiful teeth.
Charley enjoys going to the beach for swims and walks with her dog, Digger, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.
Jen Aston, Dental Hygienist
Jennifer has recently made the sea change from Sydney to Newcastle and started at The Smile Factory. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Newcastle in 2012, is registered with the Dental Board and is a member of the Dental Hygiene Association. Her main objective as a Dental Hygienist is the prevention of gum disease. Jennifer makes a positive impact on enhancing her patients’ knowledge of oral health.
Jennifer strives to give her patients the most comfortable and thorough cleaning experience as well as customising oral hygiene education and home routines for each patient to suit their needs. Her gentle touch and calm chair side manner have been appreciated by even the most nervous of patients.
Jennifer keeps herself updated regularly by attending various dental seminars and courses including periodontal management, in chair whitening, sleep apnea, managing caries, sterilisation as well as keeping up to date with the latest dental products.
Vitor Diogo, Dental Hygienist
Born and raised in Portugal, Vitor graduated from the University of Lisbon with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. He then attended the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, to further his studies. While in the United States, he also met the love of his life, which set the wheels in motion for him to eventually come to Australia.
In 2006, Vitor moved to Australia and worked in private practice and as a lecturer and clinical educator, both at Sydney University and the University of Newcastle. He has been involved in many roles for the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia, including NSW Vice President.
Outside of work, Vitor enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two children, especially going to the beach. A master of dad jokes and arguably a great soccer player, he also loves cooking and music. Be prepared – Vitor is also known to constantly sing and hum during patients’ appointments!
Kacie Dragojlovic, Oral health Therapist
Originally from Los Angeles, Kacie found her home in Newcastle, where she completed her Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy in 2020.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Kacie has pursued additional orthodontics, paediatric dentistry, and implant maintenance training. Her two years in a specialist periodontal practice enhanced her ability to provide modern, individualised care.
When she’s not at the practice, Kacie enjoys spending time at the park with her dog, cooking a feast in the kitchen, or cheering on her favourite American sports teams.
